Issues that the current board glosses over:
- Recently hiring a doctor knowing that that he recently got arrested with a blood alcohol content of 0.31 - after the liquor store called the cops on him! That's just not an accident of having "one too many", but indications of serious ongoing drunkeness.
- Firiing another surgeon and removing him from the board of directors, simply because he saw practices at HHH that were harmful.
The current board does not function as it should. Hazel Hawkins Hospital is the largest business in Hollister, operating in the very complex healthcare industry, yet the board meetings are unusually brief and lacking substance. Meanwhile the administration gives itself incredibly high salaries - even when filing for bankruptcy.
