Greg Swett is a local businessman with deep roots in San Benito County. As an ccounting and Finance graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, he is well-equiped to understand the complex issues Hazel Hawkins Hospital faces as a hospital, especially a rural hospital in a growing community.
We all remember the alarm bells that went off for all of San Benito County when the current board falsley filed for bankruptcy. The hospital was not bankrupt; they just did not know their business. Greg helped form the group of citizens that met every week to do what the hospital board and HHH administration should have been doing: examining the business, getting the facts on the table, addressing shortfalls, and getting it on the right path.
